UNIT 5: movement MOTION
Centre of mass of a two-particle system, Centre of mass of a rigid body; Basic ideas of movement motion; moment of a force, torque, momentum, conservation of momentum and its applications; moment of inertia, radius of gyration. Values of moments of inertia for straightforward geometrical objects, parallel and perpendicular axes theorems and their applications. Rigid body rotation, equations of movement motion.
UNIT 6: GRAVITATION
The universal law of gravitation. Acceleration because of gravity and its variation with altitude and depth. Kepler’s laws of planetary motion. attraction potential energy; attraction potential. speed. Orbital speed of a satellite. Geo-stationary satellites.
UNIT 7: PROPERTIES OF SOLIDS AND LIQUIDS
Elastic behaviour, Stress-strain relationship, Hooke’s Law, Young’s modulus, coefficient of elasticity, modulus of rigidity. Pressure because of a fluid column; Pascal’s law and its applications. Viscosity, Stokes’ law, speed, contour and flow, painter variety. Bernoulli’s principle and its applications. UNIT 8: physical science
Thermal equilibrium, ordinal law of physical science, construct of temperature. Heat, work and internal energy. 1st law of physical science. Second law of thermodynamics: reversible and irreversible processes. Sadi Carnot engine and its potency.
UNIT 9: scientific theory OF GASES

UNIT 20: COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
